The hinge on this is broken and would need to be removed and a new piano hinge spot welded back on to repair the box

but still a decent example

but it is new old stock and was still wrapped in paper with other tins when we found it

Great Period German Briefcase carcano The collar area has aVery nice German briefcase in good condition, only some light wear and age. This style of briefcase was introduced before the war and became sort of the new standard and was produced for many decades afterward. This is postwar made but there is nothing to distinguish it from its pre war counterparts. A very nice briefcase of timeless style.
